Wokingham Winter Carnival 2010 - Nations of the World on Sunday 28th November

The procession is the highlight of the Winter Carnival. Starting off at Shute End at 4pm it winds its way through the town as the light fades. Floats and walkers will be dressed up with the theme Heroes & Villains and heading the procession will be the St Sebastian's Band. Click here to see the Procession route through the Town Centre.

Other groups confirmed to be taking part are Wokingham & Emmbrook Football Club, Happitots, White House School, 1st Finchampstead Scouts, Gardeneer, Roy Castle Jazz Band, Churches Together in Wokingham, Reading Scottish Pipe Band and the Mini Comedy Fire Engine to name a few.

Please wave and cheer as the procession goes by and place any cash donations, no matter how small, in the Wishing Well or the official collection buckets.

We are very grateful to Neil and Kay Moss at Rapid Hire Centres, to the lorry companies and drivers, to Scarlet Couriers and to John Shortland for coordinating the volunteer marshals.

The procession is followed by the singing of Christmas carols in Market Place around the Christmas tree.
