Charity Donations

Four local charities have benefitted from last year’s Wokingham Winter Carnival. We presented cheques to Liz McDaniel for the Me2 Club; Mark Hainy for Younger People with Dementia and to Mayor Julian McGhee-Sumner for the Mayor’s Charity fund, which this year is for the Wokingham Food Bank and The Link Visiting Scheme. It makes all the hard work so worthwhile.

In 2019 the benefitting charities are: The Cowshed, First Days, Ashridge Nursery and the Mayor’s chosen charity, Diana Brimblecombe Animal Rescue Centre.

We’re now considering which charities to support at the 2020 Winter Carnival. Charities must be registered and benefit the people within the Wokingham Town Centre wards. If you wish to apply please email chairman@wintercarnival.co.uk or PM us on the Facebook page by 31 March 2020 with some information about your charity.
