Preparations are well underway for this years Wokingham Winter Carnival a FREE community event in the town centre for all the family. The event attracts many thousands of visitors from Wokingham Borough and others who travel from all over Berkshire and the South East.

Attractions for the day include a fun fair, over 90 food, craft and charity stalls, non-stop FREE entertainment including a magic show, comedy jugglers, clowns, Punch & Judy, and Santa's Grotto in the warmth of the Library. Berkshire Maestros will be providing live music throughout the day on the Market Place stage and Rock Choir will perform at 12.30pm in Erfstadt Court. There will also be a dance showcase from JG Dance at 1.15pm in the town centre.

The highlight of the day is the Carnival Procession which winds its way through the town as dusk falls. A great spectacle with decorated floats, bands, assorted vehicles and costumed walkers with lanterns, it also provides an opportunity to empty your pockets of loose change and pop it into the charity buckets.
